I had read somewhere it's something like 5 years. The Bing pics I think are from an airplane fly over making the maps since they are close and clear.

I just checked Bing - never looked at that before. The picture is quite old since we remodeled the house in 2010 and it was before any work started on it.

Googlemaps is from this summer though - our sons car is in the driveway and he was here in July. Judging by the grass, shrubs and flowers looks to be in August.

When we have lots of snow I strategically place them every so many feet so I have to complete my shoveling to get to the next cold one!
