Me too. Silverado is one of my favorite 'modern' westerns too.
Silverado, Open Range, Dances with Wolves are all big on my list. Some people whine about Wolves for some reason (I think they're western haters), but that came out right after my book and research was really fresh in my mind. Have a real connection because of that.
I also love Pale Rider and Unforgiven of course

Never heard of that one. Too bad dish just discontinued their blockbuster dvd by mail. Every freaking body thinks every freaking body has broadband. Sorry... this is America - with broadband coverage about the same as 3rd world countries. F them! I can't download any movies.

Eastwood's westerns have always been my favorites. His three spaghetti westerns are still three of my favorites, as are most of his later westerns. I do like unforgiven too.
