Copperheads and timber rattlers are known to be around here.

Hmmm... someone has a photo credit?

The only snakes at my altitude here in the Cascades are a few garters in the summer. Too cold at night for rattlers. Do have a few small dark blue scorpions though under a log occassionally.
Danged double barrels!

The only good thing about a copperhead is they are not very aggressive unless you **** them off. I've stepped on a few when I was younger. Never had one strike at me until you poke them with a stick a few times. Now cotton mouths, water moccasins as we call them, are just evil bastards. Those things will charge you for no reason.

I hate those damm things. Gotta be one of the most aggressive snakes ever. I've had a couple drop out of trees in the boat while fishing. You make a life decision at that moment. Abandon ship or go into battle. Both decisions suck. Lol
