I'd go with the fun one. If your walls or house had a lot of color I'd say the opposite. But this will liven things up. Plus if you get two and I'd highly recommend getting two, I'd get them the same. I think occasional chairs should always be bought in pairs. Especially smaller ones like that. A couple of years from now you can always use them as a pair in a room or something. They'd go with a nice solid pastel couch or something. Even a leather couch if it was the right kind.

My mother was an interior decorator. She dragged me to all sorts of furniture stores and decorator shops. FML

I make all the decisions regarding furniture in our house. I'll give her some choices and steer her towards the one I want her to pick. In the end she thinks its her idea.

I tend toward the eclectic. Though my hearts in French country.

I could never not care about the surroundings in my home. I just want to be in a cozy place where I can relax and enjoy it. I hate sparseness and I hate gaudy things too. Color and texture is key. And light. Natural and artificial. And controlling both. Contrasts. Colors. It's fun.

 

Y'all should get together, do each other's nails, talk about periods and have a pillow fight.
