Went for a quick drive tonight around one of my favorite lakes. Felt so good to get out. Had a funny experience too. I was sitting at a stop light, no one else around and I'm rocking out to Somewhere Trouble Don't Go by Miranda. Just before the light turns, I look out my passenger window and there's two people dressed in black, sitting on the corner staring at me. Needless to say I just floored it when the light turned green.

 

Nothing like going for a drive to calm the nerves! Wish this weather would get better so I could go pick up the Boss. Think I will bring her back next time I'm home anyway.

 

I took the 500 out for a drive today, had the radio up and wasn't paying much attention to a car coming toward me. As we met it was a POS 3rd gen Camaro full of teens revving the **** out of it at me, and it sounded like crap. It was an RS, probably the stock 305 "wit hedddders and glass packs". I just burst out laughing at them.

I figure if they came from a the typical white trash family with a Chevy dad and they probably think its the baddest thing on the planet and had no idea what they were revving at. No ****, I've talked to some of these idiots and they actually think their 1988 v-6 Camaro will blow the doors off of ANY Mustang, and will cite examples of how they have.

 

Rolled by a kid (maybe 14) riding shotgun in his Mom's Mitsubishi Mirage while she was driving a couple of weeks back. We are stopped at a light and I had just come from the car wash so the paint is nice, shiny, and the 20" rims are gleaming in the sunlight. This kid was flat out fixated on my 07 GT and my GF and her little girl were in the car with me at the time. After the kid in the Mitsu gawks for a couple of minutes I just hit the gas and cranked the RPM's to 6,000 at a dead stop revving the bejesus out of my 4.6L. My cat deletes and Flowmaster 40 Series' rumbled the Mom's Mirage and I looked at this kids face to see him grinning from ear to ear. I ended up dropping down a gear and spreading past him and his Mom a couple of blocks down the road and got the same ear to ear smile.

Getting this reaction from this kid and similar instances from other people rolling down the local streets in town gives me hope that the future generations will keep the appreciation of American Muscle alive.

 

I got rolled up on by a straight up mexican mafia gangbanger complete with wife beater. He sped up to get next to me and shouted out "badass Mustang dude!" with a big thumbs up. I waved thanks and gave it a big old rev and carried on my way. This dude was straight out of Training Day bathroom tub scene.

Driving a Chevy Malibu of course.

Had a late 70's Monte Carlo dropped with aftermarket fogs on the bottom of the front bumper trying to race me in my GT tonight. I thought to myself the individual driving very well could have been Mexellent but I didn't want to say it out loud.. Until you posted your comment anyway.
