First time I left was when my parents were divorced, moved to FL for four years, then back to CA. Kind of hard to stay in the state as Active Duty, first base was in Sacramento, not really by choice, spent 15 months there, then Germany for the first time. My Uncle still live there and the in-laws too.

Lived in CA until I was 8, then from 12 -20. Pretty strong bond to get my leg tattoo to represent my home state. Have a CA flag hanging in my game room too. Just don't see myself moving back, love the state, but no sure I could afford to live where I would want to.
