My nephew pitched on his first high school varsity baseball game. He's a sophomore on varsity. He came in with a 2-0 lead in the top of the 6th and notched 3 outs on 4 pitches.

 

Very nice. What kind of pitcher is he?

 

They brought another pitcher in in the 7th and he gave up a run. But the team won 2-1. It was the season opener.

He's just a middle reliever right now. They have a coupe of starters that are seniors and a closer. But I was really proud how he did first time out with the big boys.

He's about 5'-10", just turned 16 last week and is about 225 pounds.

 

Overpower or off speed?

 

Power. All the way. It was a foggy night with lots of moisture in the air. The scout for the other local high school was sitting behind us and had a radar gun. He only threw at about 78 tonight. 4 fast *****. Two were infield grounders, a swing on strike, and a long out at the warning track.

What's really funny is that there's probably an extended family of Chinese nationals that swam across the Rio Grande living up there but she's too afraid to look.

She could be eating free Chinese food and have all her laundry done as even her nails. Oh wait. That's Korean.
