Cool Service/Repair, Help Map Lamps Do Not Turn on At Switch!

2017 Mustang V6 base
Interior map lights do not turn on when the buttons next to them are pressed. They come on when the doors of the vehicle are opened. Most general answers say to replace/check the #01 on-demand fuse located on the passenger side floor.
My issue is there is not a #01 fuse in use. The location is empty.
What else can I trouble shoot?
There are not any other electrical issues with the car that I know of. This issue started about a week ago.

Welcome!

Moved You To Correct Year Section.

Empty As Missing A Fuse or No Terminals in Box To Plug One In???

See Owners Guide Pdf's

Further Research Shows Body Control Module Pin 14 Has Interior Lamp Function.
Rt Side Passenger Kick Panel

Inspect & Clean, Replace Fuse/Relay??? as Necessary. Look For Any Water Intrusion While You Are There. Relay Maybe Integrated into BCM???

{I Would Also Advise a 15 Minute Battery Disconnect First If Not Tried Yet To Reset.} Ez Start Before Diving In!

That's What I Found Anyhoo!

The Deeper You Dig The Scarier it Looks!

Take it Slow Take it Easy!

Good Luck!

A Scanner Which Can Read {Body Codes} Would Be Helpful as Well!

Anybody Who Has Had This Issue and Has a Ez Fix Please Chime In!

Let Us Know What You Find!

I disconnected the battery for approx 30 minutes. Same result.
Yes the 01 fuse spot on the passenger floor does not have a terminal in use.
What is the Module Pin 14? If that is the fuse spot 14 that terminal is also not in use on my vehicle.
Thanks for the tips! Any other ideas from this audience?

The Second to Last Pdf has The Diag Process But a Reader Which Can Check for BCM Codes Would Be Needed and or Useful. The Newer The car The More Complex They Are To Fix Sorry To Say! And The More Special Tools Often Needed.
