'09 electrical madness

My stock speakers have been popping for some time, but only when the car is powered off. No issue while running and when the radio is on or off. I know I should have troubleshoot the problem, but ignored it. The car wouldn't start the other day. Battery was 8 years old (stock) so I replaced it. Car started no problem and radio stopped popping, but now the interior courtesy lights won't shut off, ever! Anyone familiar with electrical issue like this?

Is your pony usually parked outside most of the time? If so, do you ever notice dampness/wetness on the front passenger floor area?

If the answers are yes, you may have the clogged vent drain/wet SJB issue. It will produce all manner of electrical gremlins. It is a known issue with the S197's.

Read page 49 of your owners manual. Maybe your dome switch is turned on.
