Garage opener prob

My second post and a question already. Any body else have a problem programming their garage/gate opener? I've done
this a dozen times before and have followed the manual explicitly, wont work. Its a 2020 GT by the way. Thank you.

According to your post count, you actually have a total of 28 posts... As for your garage door opener, did you also experience the same issues when you still had your previous 2011 Mustang, if not? Then I suggest that you read over the manual again, as you may have missed something or perhaps contact the manufacturer of your garage door opener who may be able to provide some troubleshooting steps to help resolve the programming issues.

Second post in this forum, others were in my 2011 GT forum. No problem with programming the 2011. I have practically
memorized the manual on this.

Just to clarify, when referring to the forum, it's interpreted as the entire website... When it comes to the 2005-2010, 2010-14, 2015-2020 sections, they are known and referred to as sub-forums of TMS... If you practically memorized the manual regarding the programming of the door opener, but continue to experience programming issues? Then as previously suggested, I would recommend contacting the manufacturer of your garage door opener and bring them up to speed about the programming issues.

Dont think it is the garage door that's the problem, since the homelink doesnt respond to the transmitter
for the gate either. Neither one of these was a problem for 3 other cars. That just leaves the homelink
(the car itself). Sorry to clog up the forum for such a mundane issue, but appreciate your input.

The Whole Point of Being Here is To Learn & Share about Our Passion the Mustang. No Bother at All Looking For Help! The Shop Manual Was Short & Sweet if The Vanity Light Works. They Say Bad Visor. Seems Too Easy. On the Other Hand if an Interior Lighting Issue is Tied In It's Long Drawn Out Affair.

I can certainly appreciate that. All interior lights work, guess I cant totally rule out user error but dont see how.
Last resort is dealer. Plenty of warranty left.

Just a thought about what Rocky said about the door itself. How old is the door and gate?

Mine are pretty old, 15+ years. Had to have it worked on recently and the guy told me if I bought a new car (newer than my 15 Grand Cherokee that was there) that it likey wouldn't work, have to get a new opener. Haven't tried programming my 22 yet.

Just a thought

Homelink worked on my ‘13 on my house in GA. Never worked for my house in OK. The ‘09 911 I just bought programmed fine at my home here, although it had weird but east to follow instructions.

Neither my gate transmitter nor my garage transmitter work. Recently programmed for
a different car. All evidence points to the homelink in the car. Going to dealer last resort.

If it's not the garage door opener? Then like you said, it's more than likely a programming issue with your 2022 GT... Therefore, take your car into your dealership and bring them up to speed regarding the issues with the homelink not functioning properly. It shouldn't cost you anything knowing your 2022 GT is covered under factory warranty. If on the other hand, the dealership doesn't find anything wrong with modules/homelink transmitters? then chances are your gate transmitter/garage transmitters are not compatible and outdated for your 2022 GT

Almost too ashamed to post this, but the garage door opener issue is resolved. My neighbor (an airplane mechanic) came over
to see the car. After chatting and going over my problem, just before he left he asked if he could have a go at it. Took him 2 minutes and the garage door
and the gate door worked. I watched him do it and he didn't appear to do anything I hadnt done 6 times. Cant explain it, but it appears
the only part that didn't work properly was me. Thanks especially to KC and others who tried to help. I'm going to hide my head now.

Nothing to be ashamed about, as none of us are perfect... The important thing is that you were able to figure out a solution with the help of your friend in getting the garage door transmitter to function with your 2022 GT's homelink... That being said, glad everything is now working properly
