use a torque wrench when ever possible!
Keep it clean and or clean it!
If not familiar with the project you are going to work on take picture as you do the work!
bag and tag parts if need be!

Whenever possible, only disassemble one side at a time so that the other side can be used a a guide for putting it all back together again.
