It is a Super Clean Car & Likely Bring Some Big Bucks From a Collector! Would have been a Hell of a Sleeper Back in the Day with a 428 SCJ . Very Curious of Sale Price!

Good Luck to the Seller

I would have thought 'solid' $$$ for a Grande but I personally was quite frustrated selling my late friend's 1972 Grande for his widow a few years back. A heavily optioned 351C car with all the right boxes checked. Outside of the physical aspects, generally a Mach 1. It only had 20,000 miles on it. it was 'like new'.
I started the pricing at what I thought was very reasonable $19,000 for a quick sale. Nothing but crickets. Auto Trader, ebay, all types of sites. I kept lowering the price and the phone didn't start ringing until it hit the $15,000 area. Even then, no sale. If I had the room i would have bought the car myself. It needed nothing. We finally got a lousy $13k for it and even then it was a tough sale. I felt so bad for the widow but she did understand, plus she was probably tired of me and the entire process. Here is his car at one of the many car shows we attended together. This first one was 2016 outside Asheville. The second right here in Franklin NC in 2017 right before the show got started. That was my C4 at the other end.

That is one good looking Mustang, and is much nicer than the '70 above. Someone got a steal on that car. I just hope they appreciated it.

I guess it's all in the eye of the beholder. Because I'd take the '70 over that land barge any day.

Apparently you are not alone, or the car would have sold much faster and for more $$$. I was wrong for sure as I was in the other camp of 'really liking it'.

When compared to the original 65-66 Mustang, the 71-73 models did indeed transform from Pony Car to full Thoroughbred.. Although, the 71-73 models may not had been considered as land yachts back in the early 70's era, they sure would in todays era for sure... Therefore, if I understood your post accurately, I believe your referring to the larger 71-73 Mustang to today's standards rather than back then... Nevertheless, I do agree the 71-73 models ended up becoming too large for my liking

I didn't care very much for them either.. The 69-70 fastback models were the last Mustangs that I found as really appealing... After that, I didn't become passionate again towards the Mustang until the Fox body arrived for the "79" model year...

As mentioned above, when compared to the original 65-66 Mustang, the 71-73 models did indeed increase in size considerably by comparison.. Perhaps this was the reason that led to the firing of Larry Shinoda, Gale Halderman and Bunkie Knudson from Ford Motor Co respectively.. Say what you will about the 71-73 Mustang, but the design changes clearly went in a completely opposite direction than what Lee Iacocca originally envisioned for the Mustang when it debuted at the "64" New York State Worlds Fair designed as the fun, sporty car built for the masses...
