I realize Indy is a great American race, but honestly it means less and less to me every year. I guess I've gone NASCAR now and enjoy the Brickyard race much more. Indy is risking becoming irrelevant with each passing year, the highlight this year was Danica marching towards pit of the guy that knocked her out. The Coca Cola 600 was far better that night.

Ah, those were good times. I'd take any of them, but of course, the 94 was the one who caught my eye first. That car made me want a Mustang back on high school.

I had a Cobra II in high school, a 1994 Mustang convertible when it was new and now here I am in 2008 doing the same thing that I have done over and over... I guess I am addicted to Mustangs for life...

The seats in the 79 (recarro's i believe) were also some of the most comftorable ones ive ever been in. SVOPaul used them in a sn95 cobra build up they did and it was plain awesome.

The '79 was my first Mustang. Silver over Black Cobra with the 5.0 and TRX package. Had the Snake (which was coming off at delivery) removed from the hood, and replaced by Black paint stripe. Paid for by Ford under warranty.
The Germans loved that car, and after a bit of tweaking by the Frankfurt Ford mechanics, it would hold it's own against just about anything on the Autobahn. Trouble free. Ran Mobil 1 for three years, changed every 3000 miles. Drove back and forth to work every day at 100 to 110 mph...now that was a commute!
I am attaching a scan of an old photo taken at Rhein-Mail AB, Germany, in 1980.
