Cobra II Photos

Well, here she is! And not just a Mustang II with no engine, this little Cobra II has a built 302 pushing about 250 hp. I bet this would have made Farrah's hair a mess!!

New Cobra II Dash Trim

Not really installed completely as I have to refinish the bezel and eliminate the chrome around the guages. But I wanted to show the real metal trim I obtained to cover the original brushed aluminum which was really bad

Refinished Brushed Bezel

I picked up a bezel with the chrome/walnut trim from a 1975 Ghia and stripped it down, sprayed it matte black with 3 coats of matte clearcoat. Then I applied brushed aluminum vinyl to the steel panel I had cut and used 3M tape to adhere it to the bezel.

Here is my refinished bezel

Nice job. How did you cut the aluminum?

I used a Xacto knife and I used my steel trim as a template. Just went slow and took my time. The vinyl was purchased off of ebay at a small cost of $10 for a roll 12" x 60".

Change your garage doors to side openers, and install a lift. Then you can double your Mustang parking space.

Or....

Sell the house and move. Priorities, man!
