Brawlin' Boss' 1978 Mustang II Project

Official start of my thread for my 1978 Mustang II. I feel I got a pretty clean example of a coupe. It's got the 2.8 v6 auto. Not sure what engine I will be putting in i.e. 302 carb'ed or 5.0 modular motor. But I do know it will be white with blue stripes and most likely a shaker scoop. Would like a Cobra II front end and maybe one of those trick rear bumper I have seen on the forum. Oh well this is one of 4 projects I have going so wish me luck!!! Here are a few pics. BTW this forum convinced me of this long thought of project. Thanks you guys

I can't wait for what comes from this. I like seeing the II build ups since everyone in the world builds everything else.

Thanks Arin. What does it take to put a 302 in that car. Do I need to change the crossmember? Or does it have the provisions for the 302 mounts?

the crossmember is fine, but you will need II-specific motor mounts. along with that, you may need new mounts for the transmission crossmember as well, depending on what trans you use. you're also going to need the II specific exhaust manifolds or some of the aftermarket headers

the V6s came with 8" axles so you should be fine there. after that its just the wires and logistics of it all.
