Well it's been an... Eventful week. Car died on me last Friday as I parked it for the weekend. When I got back Sunday, it was still dead. Messed with it for a while trying to jump it and whatnot. Eventually look in the battery and a few cells were pretty much dry. The others were close too. Replaced the battery and got home. Drove it to work yesterday and the gauges, ac and everything started to die as I pulled in the parking lot. That evening I had no chance of getting home, but I tried anyways. Got to the middle of an intersection and it quit. Luckily three guys came to help me immediately and we rolled it off the road right in front of the city rescue mission. Sat there for an hour before dad and aaa got there. First time I've ever seen my car go down the highway without me in it. And first time on a trailer. Kind of sad but oh well.
Long story short, I'll be replacing the alternator when I get home. My sequentials also came in so I'll be installing them too!
As for today, no mustang news, but we did set out on our maiden voyage to California in this bad girl. So far so good...

Do yourself a favor: Beg, borrow, or steal (or inquire at the library) a copy of the book, In God We Trust, All Others Pay Cash, by Jean Shepherd. (Yeah, he was from Indiana.) This is the book from which the movie was taken, and there are other good tales included that I know you'll like. I got wise to this in the late 60's (before most of you were born) when "Playboy" printed some of it as short stories. See, I was reading it for the articles, dammit!
