Yeah thanks guys. I know I'm going to replace alot of the parts. And surprisingly even things like doors are not that much, but some of these things would be too costly. Like every exterior body panel with dings, waves, or rusted holes. Or frames with gobs of rust on them. The interior I really don't care about, because I'm going to strip it out and redo, though it will need to last me a year or so, as I work on it. But these were not even mechanically sound. This is what happens when you want a 12-14 year old vehicle most often used for 4-wheelin fun on the beach or used as winter beater and eaten up by salt in northern states.

And so let it be. This my two thousandth post. I wanted it to be a milestone and memorable, and yet it's not about the two thoussandth post, no its about the one thousand nine hundred and ninety-nine posts that came before it. Without those posts, this post would not mean what it does.
2,000!!!
Congrats Gary!!

Nope. I've decided I'll keep looking, but I'm not going to rush into it. I'll just see what happens and maybe I'll get lucky and something will come along. I really want a '96 (the last year), with a 351w, and with less than 120,000 miles. Also I'd prefer certain colors over others. The difficulty is that they are usually so worn out, it's hard to just buy one of ebay and have it shipped or go get it.

Black is what your looking for. Yep.
Any Bronco around here gets eatin by salt. No hope for old trucks. 96 is a good year.
Something to fuel the flame.

Wow thats sweet. Looks like the north pole though.
I've seen internet pictures of Broncos from up north and they look nasty. The best one I've found was in LAs Vegas and came from Arizona. No rust. But I lost the bid. I was hoping to fly out to Vegas and drive it back. Of course with no detours along the way.
And I do really want black. I've already got 2 black cars. I want one that looks decent for now, but one that I can get repainted later.

Check out this one. It's got a ram air hood! Too bad its a '93 with a 302.
And yes I know I swore that I'd never want a truck with a hood scoop but at least its functional.
