The New Saleen Mustang Gets 640 Horsepower
Oh. My. God. The 2015 Mustang Saleen is going to be ridiculous. Yesterday, Saleen showed off a new view of the next Saleen Mustang on the S550 chassis. Most of the automotive world figured we would have to wait at least till L.A. or Detroit to get some real numbers on this beast. We were wrong. And I can't believe the numbers.

Power to Weight ratio can be a real *****! Although I suspect the top dog Saleen will probably weigh around 3900-4000 pounds if its got a respectable list of performance equipment like a decent heat exchanger setup and brakes that don't fade with repeated use.

Ah, there you are!
FWIW, I like the S550 front end, but I might just like the Saleen front end even more. Proof will be when the real thing is released

The buthurt over the Hellcat is hilarious, guys. You do know that's why Dodge made that car, right?
This car looks amazing and SHOULD be quite a but lighter than a Challenger Hellcat but keep in mind that a tuner car with 640hp isn't as cool as a FACTORY 707hp car (that also sells for $60,000). Sorry. It just isn't.
FWIW, the Challenger is likely a pulley/tune away from 1000hp. Supposedly the bottom end is ready for it. Will the same be true of the Saleen car?

I'm not trolling or trying to ruffle feathers but I can't believe how much we talk about that Hellcat on the forum. Yawn.
Not only does it look like a sedan with a fancy hood, it's unimaginative and really just a silly car in general. Yeah it's fast but lots of cars are. I equate it to hype of the Honda S2000. Just a fad car at the moment.
However, If we are lucky we will see maybe two years of the hell kitten. We might even get one with a big scary growling mountain lion decal on the hood! Yay 1980!
