The late model Mustangs were really bringing the cash tonight. The 2013 GT500 went for $280,000.

I'm so overwhelmed by all the amazing cars tonite, that I can barely remember what i saw!!!! Of note was the '13 GT500, Vin 001 that went for $280,000. God, a Boss 429, a '66 Cobra Super Snake, several 67/68/69 GT500's, the Rusty Wallace 900HP 427 Fusion, Chezoom, the custom '36 Airflow, Hemi 'Cudas....it was never ending. The Ron Pratte stuff was mind boggling.

Me either man. When that GM Futurliner went for 4 million dollars I was literally excited about it. And then the 66 Shelby Cobra 427 Super Snake went to 4.7 million and Ron Pratt left the money on the table and kept his car. You know you've got serious money when you can walk away from 4.7 million. Wow!

Update, they just announced they sold the Super Snake post auction for 5 million!!! Holy Crap!!!

The crazy thing is that most of all the cars sold yesterday were owned by Pratte. Put his entire collection up for auction.

Hmmmm.... Makes me wonder why he's trying to liquidate these assets?

Not sure of the true reason but the BJ guys say he has other interests and just no time to enjoy the collection. There's a couple tours of his collection online. It's really unbelievable. The best of the best one of a kinds.

I loved the silver 2005 GT40 without stripes. They explained that even though it had VIN 003, the first two were never made available to the public, so in a way #3 was really #1.

What did it end up selling for?

Nice. It doesn't seem all that long ago when $500-600K would have bought an original GT40.

The Ford GT's apparently are worth more now when they were new in 2005, as their value just continues to appreciate !

I was watching today and I swore I heard one of the announcers say his collection sold for roughly $32M with buyer and sellers fees on Saturday.
