A local dealer, Washington N.J., has a 2016 GT350 listed on their website for $ 57,970.00, which is it's window sticker MSRP. ( dealer ordered )
I sent them an e-mail to find out what the " selling " price is.
Waiting for an answer.
They also list a 2014 GT500 for $ 63,100.00 ( new )

Yay, yet another 'price gouging' complaint/discussion thread!
I know it's 'fun' to bash the dealers for doing it, and many threads have been spawned by such tactics, but let's be honest here:
1) You *surely* wouldn't buy it at MSRP (or less!) and then turn it around and sell it for, oh, 20% more, would you? Perish the thought!
2) It's only gouging IF SOMEONE PAYS for it. Otherwise, it's just a way to ensure the care doesn't get sold, ever, and if the dealer wants to keep it, but still wants the traffic to see the halo car, then this a method...
3) ...unless someone *does* buy it at that marked up price, so the dealer gives it up. zOMG, they got gouged! And your problem with that is...? They may have 30 million in the bank just to spend on toys like this. This is *chump change* to them. And they have that car. And you don't. Wah/neeners, depending on which side of that you're on.
Just wantin' to get that out of the way, go on with yer caterwauling.

Sure if somebody just walked up and said I'll give you 20% over the sticker for your GT350 regardless of mileage. Crazier things have happened but I'm not so profit minded that I'd be looking to flip a GT350 I picked up at sticker.
Picking up a car like a GT350 and hoping it will be some sort of retirement vehicle even after paying an ADM is pretty risky (just look at all the people who bought early S-197 GT500's at nearly double the price only to have Ford crush their greedy little hearts with the 13/14 cars).
So I'd say its dumb to pay additional mark-up on a car if your looking to flip it for a profit (if you live in a state with property taxes that's going to make it even more of a loser in addition to yearly registration - assuming you just park it in your garage and let it rot).
That of course leaves narcissists with deep pockets and the desire to be the only kid on the block with a new toy - can't do much about those guys, they happily pay an ADM because they don't want to see themselves going down the road and are extremely happy if not another car sells.
Its too bad special models like the GT350 just cant be ordered direct from the factory but it is what it is.

You shed light on the topic in many ways I haven't given much thought to. Your points are valid.
I just hope that people see if that way and really don't pay anywhere near what the dealers asking for.

The answer !
Dealer expects the car by the end of the month.
Doesn't expect it to sell @ or below MSRP, and the price hasn't been set yet.
May or may not post a selling price on the website, may post " call for pricing ".

Contacted a second local dealer today, the place where I bought my 11 @ 2K under MSRP.
They have one coming in mid March.
All they would tell me was:
It will sell above MSRP.
The price hasn't been set yet.

I wonder how MY16 pricing will go when the '17 GT350 goes on sale since Ford is eliminating the stupid requirement of having to pick between the electronics package and the track pack?
Local dealer has a 20k mark-up on a GT350 sitting in the show room but I imagine with the 2017 dealer info having been released its going to collect dust unless somebody comes in and wants it right now.

I paid 5k over sticker and have zero regrets. The car is worth it. If the msrp was 5k higher no one would complain at all.

Mark Reuss took a nice square jab at Ford and said you wont have to buy a "track pack" with the ZL1 and rightly so as it was foolish both to leave it out and to make it exclusive having to choose between the track pack and electronics pack.
Its too bad that the ZL1 isn't out right now and pricing available. If they can deliver the car in the 50k range or just in below the base price of a GT350R loaded with all the ZL1 options it will be a real slap in the face and here's hoping it takes some wind out the sails of dealers putting huge mark-ups on the GT350 and the R.

I wish you the best of luck. We have taken a number of orders and reduced our pricing from $20,000 over MSRP to $10,000 over MSRP.
If you are interested we have one in stock on our showroom floor and our allotment has about 1 more car besides the ones people have already claimed with minimum deposits of $2500.
Please let me know.
