Can anyone explain....

Why would ford reveal the gt350r in a color that is actually not available? Is this a common thing to do?

I know a lot of people find the liquid blue as a great color for the gt350r, i for one love the color just find it odd that they aren't going to offer it.

Car companies do like to experiment with new colors on concept vehicles with the intention of maybe offering it in the future. Heres an article that states pretty much the same thing about the Liquid Blue color. IMO they should make it an option.

Is it even certain that LB won't be offered? Ford hasn't even announced the price of the GT350/GT350R yet let alone color choices. I also think it's a beautiful color but I'd be more excited if they offered Wimbledon White w/Guardsman Blue stripes like the original GT350.

It's probably going to appear on the new GT then trickle down. If I read the articles right it's a fairly complex paint

The same reason they didn't offer "Titanium" silver in 2005 after showing off the Mustang and the Ford GT in that color...
