Good to hear from you again, I love your car. I know what you mean by all hell breaking loose with the 5.2 Mines not a FPC, but at about 4k rpm if you've got it matted, your butt better wide eyed and gripping the wheel, because stuff is fixing to get serious.
I washed it and checked the fluid levels, It will be 5 years old in July, 2024 (5222 miles).
This car is the ultimate in Ford performance. The 5.2L flat plan crank engine will get it done. When I drop the transmission into 2nd gear and push the throttle, all hell breaks loose in 10 seconds. You will know what a Ford hotrod is about.
No doubt my best Mustang,
Yep, definitely a keeper. Ford will produce faster better handling cars but the GT350 is one of those cases where the car is greater than the sum of its parts thanks to a combination of drivetrain, dynamic capability, character, and appearance. It was also a helluva deal compared to the later Mach 1 and current Dark Horse.
that is awesome .... but kinda looks like someone left it out in the rain?
"someone left the crank out in the rain ....
and I don't think that I can take it,
'cause it took so long to make it,
and I'll never have that forging die again,
oh no!"
The finish is spotty for sure, I have two, and for some reason, one is sorta shiny and the other sorta matte.
Very nice Bob.
What is your opinion on each year model?
Here are some old numbers from the internet (I forgot where).
2015 = 137 made (so rare)
2016 = 6169 (~4600 were R's)
2017 = 7115 (~1000 were R's)
2018 =4378 (~600 were R's)
2019 = 3552 (~799 were R's),,,I also saw the production was closer to 3800..
2020 --I never found a good number but suspect it near the 2019---
I'll estimate the total at around 24,903 Shelby GT350 in 6 years
--------
I know you guys remember the Terminator? The 2003 Mustang Cobra with a blower. Ford built 13,4676 of these cars (140,350 total Mustangs in 2003).
------
I have owned 18 Mustangs as I was a traveling salesman. I could go 50K miles in over a year (business car so the IRS paid for most of them).

I agree with everything your wrote (and wrote well). Except: Ford will produce faster better handling cars but the GT350
I am not so sure. The Dark Horse is impossible to buy as Ford made fewer cars than they had dealers. The Mach 1 is great but not a road race car.
