Not to derail your thread, but I remember your screen name from a long time ago on here. Do you or did you have a 95R?
That was me. I owned the 1995 Mustang Cobra R for 25 years.
I ordered a new Mustang GT350 in early 2019. My GT350 came in as ordered.in July, 2019. They wanted my 1995 Cobra R. We did a deal. The GT350 is fester on any track and has a radio and A/C: It's been raced at AMP.

That's awesome that you got to have one of those, and for a long time and used it. Only reason I asked was that I've only seen one of them in person about 15 years ago. If I ever get to the point of having a "collection", a 93R, a 95R and a 2000R all together would be one of my first goals.
Love your 350, is it carbonized gray or was the color different in 19? I love metallic gray color, especially with silver. I was seriously considering carbonized when I got this new Mustang. You did better than me on ordering, ordered first of Dec 21 and didn't get it til Nov 22. Pretty much gave up getting it.
BTW, been right there in that pic of yours many times through the decades, been in that region my whole life.

Nice!
On an unrelated note, I went in for a Ford Performance Blue car but for whatever reason Ford wasn't able to fulfill the order and ended up with a shadow black car. Couldn't complain though since my dealer knocked some money off the car and it came with all the equipment I was looking for.
How Funny Just On the Way Home From the Pharmacy and SawThe Ford Dealer I Retired From Had Only 3 Mustangs on the Lot and all Were Shadow Black!
I haven't seen a Mustang on the lot in the three Ford dealers near me in 3 years.
I remember when I ordered my 2019 Mustang (Jan, 2019). They had a few in the show room that I could sit in. I decided on a no-option car as it was never going to be a daily driver. I even got a discount.

Even though it's a small rural dealership they had a couple when I was looking in 21. Even had a Ford performance blue 500 first time I went but it was sold to a person or dealer in CO (I'm in GA) already.
They had a rapid red gt vert when I went to order, but other than that I never really saw one in person at a dealership. Like I said above, I pretty much gave up on ever getting my order even thought the dealer might be blowing smoke up my tailpipe because he found someone or dealer out of state that would pay more. But almost a year later it showed up, along with a Mach and a gt and a base model.
Noticed your gas guzzler tax was significantly lower than mine. Absurd either way since cars like these are rarely used for everyday transportation. They clipped me for $2600 on that stupid crap.
I finally bought new tires from Discount Tire. They made a good deal and only took 45 minutes to change and balance the new tires.
The GT350 has Cup 2 tires which are basically slicks. I mostly got the fronts too hot at AMP (Atlanta Motorsport Park in Dawsonville, GA). I talked to the Discount Tire guy via email, and he suggested the Cup 4 tires. They are still Z-rated but with more and harder treads. Now:
295-35 R19 Michelin Pilot 4S
325-30 R19 Michelin Pilot 4S on the rear (they don't make the 315 which was stock)
$2200 which was $400 less than other local quotes.
The new tires are better on the street as the Cup 2 tires fought against some road conditions. I feel no less street performance. I may lose a second a lap on a road course. The last place guy gets the same check as the 1st place guy in all amateur track events. A check for $0.00.
I've got the 4S and no complaints so far, but not many miles though. Wish my wheels were the same size, I'd go with a a square set up when I replace so I could rotate them. 305 or 315 all around.

I got a good deal for the 295-35 R19 Michelin Pilot 4S
325-30 R19 on the back (it fits well).
Michelin doesn't make the factory 305 tires Cup 2 tires anymore.

Bummer, really wish Ford would have been forward thinking on the GT350 and ran a 305/30R19 x 315/30R19 across the board. I know the what-for-and-why but it really blows for people with limited production vehicles and bespoke tire sizes and the problem it causes down the road. By running a common size from the GT350 to the Mach and the PP2 GT they would have had a common size spread over seven years and a larger pool of customers to draw from.
I washed it and checked the fluid levels, It will be 5 years old in July, 2024 (5222 miles).
This car is the ultimate in Ford performance. The 5.2L flat plan crank engine will get it done. When I drop the transmission into 2nd gear and push the throttle, all hell breaks loose in 10 seconds. You will know what a Ford hotrod is about.
