This thing will make the Boss irrelevant for some years to come, only its limited production run will make it valuable.

IMO, this thing only exists because of how successful and relevant the automotive community found the Boss. That and the competition Ford is aiming at.
Instead of building on straight line performance, Ford took a gamble in today's market with the track ready Boss, which inspired Chevrolet to build the 1LE and Z/28, and then Ford taking it up another notch with this Flat Crank, IRS, high-reving N/A GT350 (Boss Rev-2). lol

(All of that is my opinion and understanding)

That being said though, yeah the GT350 is definitely a worthy successor to the days of the Boss.

Please describe irrelevant? Now if you're referring to just performance well than absolutely YES! Any newer model should be able to run circles around the previous models. So is the Mach1, Bullitt, Cobra, etc...all irrelevant to you? Because NONE of them are irrelevant to a 'true' Mustang fan! BTW I love the new GT350!

You know what I mean, and not only that, I'm looking at the complete package as is, gt350 is a true racing designed monster, it makes the boss look like a "nice try" with its modified stock 5.0 and just basic suspension parts to tackle the track compared to stock GT. Its progress pure and simple, new better thing come that's normal life. So In my eyes I will lust over this car, then the Boss for just that reason I pointed out, still love the boss, but the gt350 out did it HARD.

Couldn't agree more, Gary. One of the nicest Mustangs I see regularly on cruise nights is an owner-restored, '67 convertible. It's beige with a straight 6 and full wheel covers....hardly the stuff that dreams are made of, except in my dreams. The car is beautiful and relevant. It's all perspective.

Very bad choice of words and perspective. Progress stands still for no one.

The Boss LS will always be that SRA car that left the BMW M3 guys wondering WTH just happened.

I'm gonna guess that ducktail spoiler will be optional. The avalanche grey car that was at the event in Texas had the tiny one on it we saw on the LA car.
