Part found on floor, Drivers Side.

Hello, I found this on the floor on the Drivers Side, appears to have fallen from under the Dash, Can't see where it may be from. Any Ideas? Looks like some kind of Linkage, but I don't see where it would go. Any help would be appreciated. I have a 2015 Mustang GT.

I wonder if I should just take it by the Ford Dealer and see if the recognize it. Really strange, looks like a piece of linkage for something.

I was wondering if it is part of a linkage from a blend door actuator. No idea though really.

This sounds pretty plausible

Hopefully it was an extra left in the dash by Ford on the assembly line and it just worked its was out. One can hope.

It looks like it is plastic. If so, it is probably just a junk piece that is left over from the molding process. A lot of factory workers use these as blend pieces or no-scratch leverage devices to aid in assembly without tearing tape or scratching finishes on plastic pieces.

Or, it could be extra plastic that is trimmed off a component when assembled & then thrown away. In your case, it didn't get thrown away.
