Outside temp vs Inlet Air Temp
 

15 GT 5.0 PP with only 300 miles on it no mods yet except passenger side oil can.

Noticed today the outside temp gage indicated 65 degrees while the Inlet air temp indicated 86 degrees driving at 60 mph.

Have not read anywhere anyone with a installed CA setup indicating air vs inlet temps. Anyone out there with any brand CA plus tune setup would be interested in the two temps.

I bet they would be hotter. A CAI from most company's is open to the engine compartment. It will always be hotter since the sensor is close to the engine. There is a few company's making cooling for the intake air.

Interesting. My '13 GT with Steeda CAI doesn't;t do that at speed. The Inlet air temp is usually equal to the outside air temp. When sitting in traffic, the inlet air temp will climb, but the stock air box did the same thing.

I have a K&N filter and opened up holes in the grill intake.Mine is about 4-5*. My GT500 stays about the same as the outside temp when at speed, so who knows how accurate all these sensors are.
