Is this normal??

Hey there! I’m a bit new to all of this. I just bought a 15 and absolutely love it! However I’ve noticed something and was just wondering if it’s normal. A couple times now I’ve left my car in neutral with the E brake on to just sit and idle while I do something, or start it when it’s cold out and let it warm up for awhile. And each time I do this after a period of time. 30 minutes maybe?? It turns itself off. It this normal, am I doing something wrong? Is it some sort of safety mechanism?? Thanks for any feedback!

there is a option in the information center " the little screen between the speedometer and the tach" to enable that or turn it off so yes it is normal if it is enabled.

Because of the new push button starts and some cars being so quiet people have been pulling into their garages and letting the cars run. They then go into the home and end up dying from carbon monoxide poisoning. So the car manufacturers have made an automatic shut off so this no longer can happen.

Thanks for all the feedback guys! I’ll definitely have to check it out. I do think I remember seeing something about an “automatic shut off” when I was playing with it when I first got it.
