Just got a phone call from Steeda

They had to refund my CAI purchase. Not California compliant.

Anybody have any ideas for a CAI in California?

They changed the emissions law there and all of the ones I have looked up are not for California. Just might have to move to get one..The laws are wacky there.

Haha. The laws and people are indeed very wacky out her. But I think I will order one anyway and test my luck. Worst case I pull it off before smogging it.

Unfortunately steeda will not ship one to California. I have to find another avenue to ship one to me so I can use it for "track only" purposes...

K&N has a CARB legal intake. I think Airaid does too. Otherwise you need to make a friend that has a house in Nevada/Arizona/Oregon or I suppose anywhere else, and have them ship it there, then have your friend ship it to you. Or buy used.

It's probably easier to buy crack than a CAI

JLT and PMAS offer cold air intakes as well, but I am not sure if they are "CARB complaint".

If you can not find one. Try buying one off ebay. Not sure they check anything.

Just bought the k&n off eBay. Got an email promptly stating he will only ship to someone outside California.

So I just bought another k&n off eBay hoping he will just ship it. Also found a steeda that is curiously located in ca already from an eBay store. Bought that one too. We will see if either of these go through. The steeda one was $40 more expensive that on steeda website

K&N makes multiple models for our cars. I believe only one is CARB certified. You can get the part number from American Muscle.

Is this a new thing? I ordered my Steeda CAI 6 months ago and there was no issue shipping to California.

Yes Old administration passed a ton or EPA laws before he left. I am told it will get worse in a few states. Also Cal made their EPA requirements harder.
