How much ofd a PITA is it to remove the front wheelwell liner?

I need to get back where the front bumper clip interfaces with the fender. I am hoping I can do so without removing the front bumper cover or wheel/tire.

TIA

You try just pushing the bumper back in? Might get the clips to engage.

I don't have a S550, but every other car I've had is relatively easy. Take the wheel off and then you'll see a bunch of plastic push pins and clips, maybe a couple Phillips screws near the lower front corners. On my '06, there's a front half and a back half so you might be able to get away with removing the front section only

I have been doing pushing it back in almost three years. The clips don't engage when you push them back in. The dealer (that is close to me) said they would not fix it under warranty because whoever removed the front bumper cover, to paint the stripes (which is the dealership I bought the car from but further away than this dealer) broke the clips. When it is hot out you can pull it out farther and the clips are not broken. I will contact the dealer I bought it from and let them deal with it. I will not accept a new bumper and have to contend with the paint not matching. I will get another car before that happens.

Curious now about the painted stripes. Did you ask for them to be painted specifically?

The dealership can order an OEM bumper that would color match perfectly. Had an issue with my '14 and it required the bumper to be replaced. Took it to the dealer and it was covered under the warranty, and the paint matches perfectly.

The stripes were painted on by the dealer before I purchased the vehicle. It was the reason why I bought the car in the first place!
