Convertible Owners

I've been a 2011 owner for over a year and love love the coyote engine. I've taken good care of my car but looking at a 2015 Comp Orange convertible. Decent price and I am in love with it with the top down! I'm in the south (GA) so we still get a fair amount of cool and cold weather so the top won't be down all the time.I've never owned a convertible nor driven one so I'm interested in the feedback of other convertible owners. This will be a DD but well, well taken care of with mods for sure ...hopefully that that don't affect the warranty.

Thanks in advance-

Thumbs up New ones have electric top

And they go up & down faster
Mine is hydraulic with an electric pump.
The new ones also have one more rib for extra strength.
I wouldn't buy a vert for years, but I have bought 2 in the past 4 years.
Love the Mustang Convertible.
Just keep it clean LOL

The verts are great! My top wasn't down often but I loved the look with the top up and all 4 windows down. The only issue I would say there is about the verts is properly caring for the top. Garage storing will definitely help. The convertibles tend to be a bit louder inside as far as engine and exhaust noise. Small sacrifices for a top that comes off.

I have a 2015 GT in Triple Yellow and love it. The mustang convertible is a pleasure to drive top up or down,

Every car I've owned since 1997 has been a convertible. A 1966 Corvair - sold, 1999 Miata - sold, 1965 Corvair - still own, and my 2013 GT that I drive daily.I also live in Georgia and there are days in every month of the year I can drop the top.

What I can tell you is:
The front section of the top is reinforced with a steel panel. When down the top can be sat on (parades). It goes up or down rapidly.

The car has more head room than the coupe. Rear side windows move.
It has the engine compartment Strut bar standard (GT Premium).

It comes with extra reinforcement underneath. That requires the exhaust
to be different slightly from the coupes. It also precludes to use of certain performance enhancing braces offered by Steeda and BMR.

The trunk has more room than you would think because of the new top mechanism. The rear seat does not fold down. There is a keyhole behind the rear seat back to open the trunk in the event of power failure or latch malfunction.
The trunk lid is curved differently from the coupe requiring a vert style spoiler if you want one.

Finally, the best feature is being able to drop the top and experience the fresh air and open sky.
