Cocky corvette
I was behind a 2013 or 2014 or possible a 2015 corvette with the 4 exhaust out the back and on the license plate it said " I *****slap mustangs". I said B.S. I read the specs on the 2015 -Z51 and it produces 465 hp. A mustang with super charger and cold air intake with a tune will out a 625+. come on corvette, try me!!!!! I'll slap you silly !

You mean to tell me that a modified vehicle can be faster than a stock one? Amazing!
Also, the corvette weighs a good deal less than a Mustang. Much more torque than the 5.0 as well.

I goofed. Mustang stock at 435hp and if my magnaflow add 25 to 30hp. That makes it fair (a little). Magna flow swears on a dyno reflects a 25 to 30 hp. Increase. If gt is out gunned bet it will be good competition... vette with torque also positraction. Don't believe mustang has position traction.

Positraction or Posi as it is commonly referred to in the GM world is just GMs name for a limited slip differential, positive traction.
Same thing as the Tractionlok Fords have.
Pretty much every V8 GM car since the 90s have had posi.

The lower center of gravity, lots of TQ, a little more HP and a lot less weight is why I can't keep up with a well driven Vette at the track.
Oh yeah, and I'm not Mario Andretti or Randy Pobst.

There are goofballs driving every make and model out there, doesn't make the car any less attractive to me. I just like cars, can appreciate many of them.....

Magnaflow might swear by their 25-30hp numbers but there's NO cat-back in the world that will actually deliver it, when talking peak numbers.
It may deliver a few extra HP, and a few more at certain RPM points, but not peak #'s
And there's more to a race than hp and weight of each car.
Gear ratios, driver skill, traction, etc ... they all can win or lose a race.
That being said, I'd love to run a new Vette in my 5.0 ...

You can do wonders when going from 87 to 93 on a heat soaked car with the hood closed. Intake and a tune won't even net you 20 to 25 HP yet somehow magically a set of pipes will?

^ This. Guess what mods I'm planning on next spring? In the order of highest impact:
1) CC plates set to -2deg camber to help take advantage of my 275 tires
2) Adjustable dampers to manage rebound and side to side weight transfer
3) Lowering springs to lessen roll/pitch/dive
4) Adjustable PH bar

And they can slap mustangs... easily.
I did hear that all yellow cars were faster than white cars though... so that's a plus!

I owned a 2012 Corvette Grand Sport for 18 months. I lost my day job and the Vette went away. It was not made especially well and the interior was pretty poor for a car which had an MSRP of 70K. But...........the **** thing was very quick. GM throws displacement under the hood where Ford uses a smaller displacement but high tech engine. The Vette is a money pit in that parts and accessories for it cost a fortune. But driving it was always an out of body experience. That being said, I am waiting till the middle of March to pick an a newly ordered GT premium. When I test drove a car like it, it felt great and the transmission was dead on and I had no issues with the clutch. I do not see what some people are describing about the tranny being notchy. When I kicked the rear out while speed shifting between 2nd and 3rd gears (the sales guy was great in that he let me really drive the car), I found myself smiling. It may not be a Vette but it is pretty close. And for the money, a bargain.

The new Mustangs are an absolute blast to drive. Although a Corvette is faster, the Mustang is enjoyable as a daily driver.

I will be using the new stang as my daily driver. Have been in a leased Hyundai Sonata for over 2 years now. Even broke the paddle shifters 😀
I cannot wait to drive a stick again.

I had a 2015 C7 roll up on me and revved his engine wanting to race. Like oh pick on the little guy in the underpowered 5.0 why don't cha. I mean this guy saw me up the road and got right up on my *** and then came up driver side and motioned for me to take the hit. I said nah you go first. So he did. And well let's say he was one of those guys that just pays for the car but isn't into modding. Once I came up on boost I dragged his ***. As he rolled by the passenger window was up and he moseyed on by.
