CAI question
Guys
I have a 2017 GT PP, for which so far I've only done exterior updates, as I keep reading that a tune would void the warranty, and the car is only 6 months old. However, while I was researching CAI's, I read that a CAI installation without a tune is not necessarily good for the engine. What's scoop on this, and if true, what sort of "damage" are we looking at? Also, any suggestions on a CAI that would add the most HP? Basically, my desire is to add HP and TQ, not to race, but because I can. Thoughts?
I'd appreciate your feedback, guys.

A CAI without a tune doesn't really do anything but drain your wallet. If the CAI is one that requires a tune and you don't install the tune, you could run lean due to increased air flow and the PCM not being calibrated for the increased airflow.

That makes sense. Thanks for the quick reply, SpectreH. So I have two options, CAI that doesn't require a tune, or just not do it at all. May I ask what you would do, given the warranty concern I have?

What about a Ford Racing CAI. They come with a warranty and will not void your car warranty. They also have a tune and a K&N filter. CAI's don't really do anything even with a Tune. It is the Tune that makes the new power. I have the Track Key and it came with a K&N plus it does not void the warranty.
