AM Builds Customer 2015 Ford Mustang GT! - AmericanMuscle.com

What's going on guys! On the latest Episode of Builds we worked with our friend and AmericanMuscle Customer Mike to put some pep into his brand new 2015 50th Anniversary GT! Mike's definitely no stranger to the Mustang and having owned a 25th Anniversary Fox Body some time ago he was ready to come full circle after seeing the 2015's unveiling! While this isn't going to be a crazy build we helped improve the already stellar platform with a few basic Bolt-On Mods!

We Installed:

- Airaid SynthaFlow CAI and Bama X4 Tuner Combo
- Flowmaster American Thunder Axleback Exhaust

Mike was thrilled to see the results. With only 93 octane in the tank and the mods above, the car laid down 407 horsepower and 379 torque to the rear tires after the Bama Performance team loaded in their 93 Octane V2 tune and spun the rollers.

This probably isn't the last time you'll see this car. Mike is looking to keep on modding it and we're happy to get the chance to help him out. Who knows what he'll do next? Maybe some long tube headers and suspension mods?

Stay tuned!

Hey ninjacrooks,

Mike's car bone stock put down 384hp/362tq - With the addition of the Bama X4 Tuner and Cold Air Intake Bama laid down 406hp/378tq which equates to a 23hp gain, and 26hp throughout the curve! Mike's stock pull as well as the tuned pull were with Sunoco 03 Octane as well.

Let me know if you have any other questions and I'm here to help.

One question, will the Air Raid CAI & the tune void Mike's warranty??
Pretty sure Ford will know the tune took place if Mike brought the car back in for warranty service to say the transmission or engine.
Thx in Advance,
Dennis

Hey Dennis,

That's a really great question and a tough one! We always recommend that you work with a local Service Manager to determine what they find to be acceptable or not acceptable on your car. If you call around and talk to different dealers, you'll get different answers. As long as you're open and honest with them, you'll probably find a dealer that will work with you. It's just important to note that they are only going to be responsible (per the Magnuson Moss warranty act) to cover things that are not directly linked to performance mods. For example, if you head to the dealer and you have a TSB - your mods shouldn't affect that. If you have some crazy interior rattle, your mods shouldn't affect that either.

Let me know if you have any other questions and I hope this helps.

Thanks Alex. For starters I think the only mod I will be adding to mine is a catback exhaust. The stock exhaust doesn't do it for me. I will talk to my service manager though, great suggestion.

Hey Dennis - Anytime! I know how you mean and I think the Catback Exhaust is going to be that much better than shooting for an Axle-Back from a sound as well as a performance standpoint.

We just loaded up a slew of 2015 Exhaust Clips - Let me know if you have any questions on them and here's a few below. I'm pretty soft on the Ford Racing Sport Catback - It's just downright mean!

Nice! Kind of weird that you need to cut the exhaust to upgrade it. I guess the one piece exhaust means less rattles?

Hey - I know how you mean in regard to the cutting! It's not like the 05-14 where you could just get your car on a widow-maker, jack it up, lose the clamps and in 30 minutes you have a new axle-back. This is even the case with the 2015 Axle-Back's too which I think is sort of unfortunate but for what it's worth the Catback's will be that much more worth if for the sound alone. As per the rattling that's a good question and while I'm not an engineer one would think that it's exactly the case! Less metal right!?
