Accessory for Dash Cam Question

Hello, I’m new to this forum and new to Mustangs as well.
I just purchased a 2018 GT Premium and i want to install a dash cam. I could possibly use the accessory port in the front of the cabin, but i noticed it does not turn off when the engine turns off. Does anyone know how long that port stays powered after the ignition turns off and the doors lock? Also, will i have the same issue if i hard wire it into the fuse panel? I’m looking to kill power to the camera when the ignition in off.
thank you in advance

How about this:
Does anyone have a recommendation on what fuse to tap into for my dash cam?

Since I do not own an '18, I don't know for sure. You could look in the owners manual at the fuse diagram and narrow it down to some circuits that power off with the ignition. (Radio, Climate Control come to mind)

Yeah that’s what i was hoping to do, but to reference my first post, some of those circuits seem to stay on long after the ignition is off. (E.g. Acc port on the dash)
I guess i’ll just have to do some ‘trial and error”

If the radio circuit in the '18 is like my '13, the radio stays on for 5 minutes or when the door opens, which ever comes first.

im in the same boat. but you dont want to kill the power. you want it to go into "parking mode", where it turned on when something moves. im trying to figure out what fuse to use too
