2018 Mustang GT Premium Custom order
Hey guys, I just wanted to ask a question. I had placed an order for my Mustang GT Premium in Mid November 2017, speced out to the way I wanted. So now, it is 2018 & I still haven't received a Vin number or anything else yet. I just wanted to know how long does this process take. I am patient but every time I think about it I get so anxious. Anybody been through this situation before or going through it now? It is a pain! My dealer says it usually be slow like this around Christmas & New Years but he says after Christmas it should be fast. Thank

The wait is real Bulls***. I ordered my car August 21, 2017 I have been checking on it since using COTUS (Customer Order Tracking United States) This site COTUS has been back and forth for months. I finally started a fire under the Dealer Owner's A**. My car was built on Dec 12th 2017 and is sitting in an Ohio rail yard on a CSX train. It is expected to arrive at my dealer on Wednesday 1-17-2018. How's that for an answer to your question?

That's a long time. Plus I think they are going by what you order on your car. The more stuff you have the longer it is and that sucks. I don't even have a vin number yet !!!

I think what they do, at least to some extent, is group configurations together and do similar configurations in the same run. I'd bet popular configurations (rental cars, fully loaded, etc.) are scheduled sooner and take a monolithic piece of the schedule.

Jesus. Come on Ford. My buddy just ordered a 2018 F80 M3 2 weeks ago. He's had his VIN. The car will be built and boated over from Germany and be here in early March.
Why's it take over a month to put it on a train and ship it domestically? Plus 4 months to build?

Hurry up and wait man. I ordered my car in early April 2014. It shower up at the dealer mid August 2014. Over 4 months and it's manufactured 20 miles from where my dealer is. It's been worth the wait, but c'mon!

Just ordered my GT on Saturday feb.10th they quoted 8-12 weeks. I plan on using the Cotus.ford.com site to track my order. Hoping to be driving it late spring. Interested to hear other results. Ordered a GT vert in Crimson 10 speed almost all the options

I just ordered an '18 last Wednesday. The first question I ask was, "do you have an allocation for this month". They did, so I ordered. But, even if DeAndre's didn't have one for the first couple month's, he should have his car by now. Over 20 weeks is totally uncalled for. I would be dancing on the salesman desk until he had an answer. If he didn't I would cancel that order, and go to another dealer.

Estimated delivery date
Signed the purchase agreement last Saturday, the order was placed 2/13 and now have the Vin# and estimated delivery date of 4/26. If only I could go out to Detroit and watch it come off the line.

TDang, that's the way it's done. Ordered ours 02/14, but I haven't checked with my dealer because I figured it was to soon. I'll call him Monday.
