Does anyone know about this issue? I went to the dealer and said it was normal. I say BS it's coming from the passenger side near the oil pan.

 

Craig, it's possible you are hearing the fuel injectors ticking. The direct injection engines run a very high pressure on the injectors. I just got our '18 home yesterday, and it's been raining for 3 days so I can't comment on the engine. But, I have a plastic Chevrolet with the DI engine, and at times the injectors sound like a sewing machine.

That said, it may not be what you have. So, as the car is still under warranty do keep a check on it. And, if you want, and if possible, you can always take it another dealer. Good luck.
