Question 2017 Ford Mustang GT Purchase Advice

Well its been a while guys and gals since I've been here (2010) but I am finally going to get to pull the trigger on a 2017 Ford Mustang GT, now I need a little input from my fellow forum members.

My last car was a 2005 Ford Mustang GT converted but not fully into a GT500
Windveil Blue.

I have been boxed in (literally) the last 7 years of my married life in a 2010 Ford Flex. Story for another day.

So here is the question purchase Option A and have money left over for major mods. (Ford Racing Supercharger, X-Pipe, Mufflers)

or Option B and take a year or so before I get the funds to do the Mods.

Option B:

Lightning Blue
Equipment Groups 401A
Enhanced Security Package

GT Performance Package

Spoiler Delete

BLIS® (Blind Spot Information System) with Cross-Traffic Alert
Reverse Sensing System
3.73 Limited Slip Rear Axle

I'd go option B...if that's the car you really want. Take that no-mod year to break the car in and shake out any issues the car has under warranty during that year.

I really like the combination of the premium and performance packages on mine. Two things to consider for mods:
1. If you are considering putting on the Ford Performance GT350 style rear valence and quad tips, you have to have the premium.
2. If you have the premium and install the supercharger, you can supposedly swap out the Ecoboost center dash gauges to have a working OEM boost gauge in your dash. I believe you can find threads on that on Mustang6. Going to be trying this one after installing the Roush next week.

2017 Ford Mustang GT Advice

After some great feedback from everyone here I am going with Option B. I really like all the extra features in the Premium. Plus I already looked up the boost gauge replacement option for the center gauges on mustangv6 website.

Just going to do the following after purchase.

1. Window Tints
2. Alarm
3. Resonator delete with X-Pipe
4. Lighted Pony Grille

Later

1. Ford Racing Supercharger
2. Boost & Oil Pressure Gauges
3. Ford Racing Sport Cat-Back Exhaust
4. Kooks Long Tube Headers
5. Kooks Green Hi-Flow cats.
6. Carbon Fiber one piece drive shaft
7. Ford Racing Sub Frame and Differential Bushings
8. Barton Short Throw Shifter

Done ! for a while 😉
