2015 Boss ecoboost.
heck, even Range Rovers now have 4 cylinder ecoboost engines. (the new wildly successful, Motor Trend "SUV of the year" Evoque)
Considering CAFE requirements, it makes sense.

Yeah, the V6 EcoBoost is starting to look underpowered.
For 2012-2013 the standard 3.5L is putting out 290 hp and with direct injection and twin-turbocharging it's only putting out 365?
That needs to change. UPWARD
It should be a 400+ hp engine
But where would that leave the 5.0 ? It would need to become at least a 450-hp engine, maybe closer to 475, to still be offered.
Would direct injection and some re-tuning make that happen ?
I doubt it.
But a complete EcoBoost lineup might make sense in the coming years ... a 2.0-2.5 EcoBoost 4-cyl with ~300 hp, a 3.5 EcoBoost V6 with 400-425 hp and a 5.0 EcoBoost V8 with 500-550 hp.
Then the SVT 5.8 with "over 600hp"
.

Thing you have to relize with the 3.5. ecoboost.. yes its only 365hp, but has 425trq in the f-150 version, so wont be hard to tweek it for more power.
The major downfall of ALL ecoboost engines right now is the ECU us encrypted and no one has cracked it yet... so not very mod friendly

How about an EcoBoost V6 in a new Mach 1? In the early 70's the Mach 1 had twin hood scoops, so you could make a hood that pays homage to that style and the scoops could actually be functional.
