A-Pillar trim panel removal

Has anyone removed A-Pillar trim panels to replace tweeters? I thought they would just pop out, but something is holding them at the bottom. Replaced the door and rear deck speakers and this is the final piece of the upgrade project.

after you pop out the top. I believe you need to pull upward.

Thanks Glenn. I had to give it a good yank, and then it came out. I don't like to apply a lot of force, but this time it was required.

Replacing tweeters made a HUGE difference. Kicker KST25. Looks like it should from the factory.

Pull your head liner out next time and install some sound deadner up there.

Kicker KS654s front/rear. Stage 3 Motorsports has a video for door/rear deck speaker replacement
. The tweeter required a Dremel tool to open the hole larger to fit the speakers. The factory plastic bracket needs to be cut out first. everything is a soft nylon so it is easy to work with. Since the new tweeter retaining ring cannot fit in the angular pillar trim, I opened the hole just large enough to press the threaded tweeter body in, with effort. They do not move, but with effort they can be removed or rotated to position the 'K' logo. Be sure to use the crossover that comes with them. They put the factory units to shame.

Headliner

How easy is it to lower the headliner? Are the back pillars easy to remove?
