Modify the stock airbox instead of CAI

My 2016 V6 should be ready in about a week.
I was wondering if anyone had modified their stock airbox instead of a CAI ?
I saw this AEM replacement filter and thought it would be a good start-

Thanks for any help or suggestions-

I would think gains would be minimal. Nothing you would feel or notice. I would put several thousand miles on it before I touched anything. Just in case you need some warranty work done. Welcome to TMS by the way

I did this on my previous car and apart from a greater roar when you accelerated, there was no difference in performance as far as I could tell.
