Our Kona Blue 50 Year Limited Edition
When we first saw the kona blue 50 Year Limited Edition at the Mid America Shelby Meet a couple years ago, I fell in love with it. I didn't love the rear end but I loved every other aspect of the car.
After 3 years with the 2013 GT500, we finally found the deal we wanted on a 50 year Kona car. I drove over 4 hours in the rain to do the deal & then another 4 + hours in the rain home in the new car. There is a significant difference in the comfort of the interiors. There is also noticeable difference in the handling of the 2 cars. The IRS really does a nice job keeping the back end planted over uneven pavement seams.
So enough talk, here are some pictures for you to enjoy.
It was a cold, dreary, rainy day.
I washed it the next day but didn't get the opportunity to take many pictures. If the rain ever stops again, I'll try to get some more pictures.

Congrats and good luck with the LE. But I'm going to miss seeing the GT500. It was one of the first cars I saw when I joined this forum in May of '14. It was my favorite Shelby here, and being partial to convertibles, I naturally fell in love with yours.

Time for the wheels. Want to put the Alcoa Shelby 50th Anniv 20" wheels on but not sure if they are going to fit without rubbing. These things look HUGE next to the S550! Is anybody out there running these Alcoas on their S550?
