GT/CS 2015+?

Anyone know if Ford plans on re-introducing the California Special Package or is the 2014 the last one?

I'm curious myself. I think it's a bit unlikely though, it seems to me that the CS package was an S197 retro deal to pay homage to the old California Specials. Since the S550 isn't a retro styled car, I don't think we'll be seeing it.

I could be totally wrong though :P

Look at the years it's been made and how it skips around. 68,07,08,11,12,13,14...I'm thinking no.

The GT/CS Mustang's were made in '68,'07,'08,'09,'11,'12,'13,'14. Hopefully the 2014 was the last year this old man is tired of hunting them down. There was not plan for the GT/CS for 2015 but maybe the return of the Mach I.

Can't be more retro than a GT350, and this moniker is rumored to be included on the S550. Actually, it's a little more than a rumor at this point...

A bit off topic but I'm can't believe how many people I run into that dont know what CS stands for. Some ask if it means Caroll Shelby?
Ironic, because the CS was actually inspired by the Shelby.

In addition, the 11-12 CS don't bear the 5.0 badges. Many people are quite surprised when I pop the hood at car meets to see the five liter engine. ???

It really has me thinking about the influence/deception of badges on Mustangs. It has never bugged me as to each his own. However, I find more people asking me if my car has the V6 or the V8 in it?

The GT350 is definitely, 100% happening. What I meant was the cars styling. The S550 is a new design, where as the S197 was a Retro design. California Special scoops and stripes wouldn't have the retro vibe on the new S550 like it does on the S197.

There will be plenty of scoops and stripes available for the S550. While it is a new design, and it is not as "retro" as the S197, it still plays homage to the late '60s/early '70s predecessor. This car will have no problem incorporating any legacy retro vibe... including the CS, which is "played" BTW. I see it being replaced by a Mach 1, or some other SE title...

I have no doubt there will be, but I still don't think the CS package would look good on the S550. The only "retro" part of the new mustang is the Fastback portion. Seeing one up close proved that right away. The GT/CS center door stripe into the quarter panel scoop would look like crap. I think a Mach 1 would be cool, but idk how they would make a shaker hood look good on it.

Agree to disagree I suppose, I don't feel like arguing a moot point lol

I get the "What's a CS?" but when you hear the V8 exhaust note there's no questioning what it is!

My CS is no longer a CS

The only things that remain are the cooler front and rear bumper covers. The 07-09 had bumper covers the GT guys were envious of and would switch to. Also loved the no GT fender emblems. I love my smooth clean fenders.

Wheels are the RTRs from around 2010 I think

Love the fact my 2011 does not have GT/5.0 badges. Like the look on peoples faces wondering what it is. But im consistant I bought a brand new (at the time) LX 5.0 in 87. I guess sleepers are for me.

Most people think my 12 CS is a v6. Hence I got revved up today by a red v6. He just about died when I layed on the Roush axel backs.

Sound wise:,Sounded like a bee swarm going up against a freight train.
