2013 hood on a 2012. Will it fit

Well just bought my first Mustang, a 2012 GT/CS and love it although only been able to put 200km on it given the early snow here in Alberta. Have a question. There was some hood damage on the car when I got it and I have located a 2013 hood with the hood vents. I can’t find a definitive answer as to whether the 2013 hood will fit in a 2012? Day I picked it up

I think you'd have to have a 2013-14 front bumper cover at a minimum.

SpectreH is correct on what you will need. You need everything from the fenders forward. I would just repair or even go aftermarket on just the hood. There is a lot of nice looking hoods for you to choose from. And may I say 98% easier to do.
I am some what bias towards the 12. But I like the 12 a lot more than the 13. But that's me. Some will think the other way.
Bottom line is... if it was me. I would go with a FG or CF hood. It will also help make the car feel like its personal to you.
As they say>>> It's your car, it's your choice.
