Unhappy Offset help?

So I bought a set of 95 cobra r rims. I went to a tire shop to get a price on tires. The dude asks me what car are they for. So I tell him a 94gt. Then he's like oh man. I don't know 255's are gonna work on the front. I have a 245 currently. But will a 255 rub on my wheel arch? Dude said something about my wheel offset. I thought cobra rs would got right on the 94 gt? Or will the rub?

My 04 had 255's on the stock rims and had no issues, as well as 255's on factory 04 cobra wheels. I would think there can't be too much difference between 94-04.
