Question What size for AMR on '10 GT Vert?

I need some tires for my Mustang and thinking of just getting a wheel and tire package from AM. I have the OEM 18" wheels on her now but was thinking of bumping up to 19".

I am pretty happy with the ride of my Mustang. Will going to the 19" change the ride? Also will they look too big on the car? I have no plans of lowering since I have huge pot holes and rough roads where I work. Will I also have problems with the TPS?

Most of the optional factory wheels on the 10-14 GT's are 19's and they look good. A lot of people say that's the perfect size for the Mustang. You will have a SLIGHTLY firmer ride because of the lower profile tire, but it won't be bone jarring by any stretch. If you go with a square setup, the wider front tire might cause a bit of tramlining on crowned/rutted roads. This would be reduced with a staggered setup because of the narrower fronts.

Sorry I can't answer your questions on TPMS, but the AMR's are nice, they'll definitely look the part.

OP,

19" Wheels and Tires are a great idea if you're looking to shrink the wheel gap on your Mustang. When making the jump from an 18" to a 19" kit you wouldn't really feel that much of a difference in ride quality as well. If you were to jump from an 18" to a 20" Kit you would definitely feel it. Even if you were to have the car lowered in the future you wouldn't need to worry about rubbing or fitment issues as we test fit up to a 20" wheel and down to a 2" drop here to ensure that you're good to go!

In regards to the Tire Pressure Sensors there's a couple things that you can do.

1. You could have the OEM sensors removed from your Factory wheels but this is something that will just be a pain (Lugging everything around!)

2. You can have a Tire Pressure Monitor Kit purchased through AmericanMuscle where we'll have them installed so you'll only need to have the sensors synced with the included transmitter tool and you're good to go!

Looking back on my wheel and tire purchase I wish I had gone with the 19" Staggered AMR Charcoal Mickey Thompson Kit because they really fill up the wheel well that much better than my 18's.

Let me know if you have any questions and I hope this helps!

Here's a pic of a customers vert (Sorry it's not a '10 but it should give you a good idea of how they'll sit!)

How will the tread life be if I am unable to rotate the tires with a staggered fit? I did not want to get tires every 20k miles.

Keep the burnouts to a minimum

But that's the one downside to staggered setups, can't rotate.

OP-It's looking like LakeGuy77 gave his .02 on this and I'm saying the exact same! If you're able to keep the burnouts to a minimum they should last just as long if not longer than your factory tires. In my opinion it is the only downside of running a staggered setup that you're unable to have them rotated, but once you're to see them on the car it makes it that much better!

Though I've never bought rims from AM, I've done 3 good size orders from them over the past 3 months (and I don't have my car yet ) and the service and communication has been excellent. Plus, those rims really do look great. Throw us some pics when you get em on!

Lakeguy77,

We strive to have the best communication as well as service and fastest shipping as possible. If you have questions about a specific kit feel free to let me know as I'm always here to help. I'm not entirely sure what type of style wheel you're after but definitely take a look at our customer submitted images so you can get a feel of what the kit would look like on your Stang!

Why are the AMR 20" rims less expesnive than the 19"? I wonder if they will look too big.
