Watts link axle brackets dont make good bump stops.
Hey All,
Figured I would share a quick piece of experience I had recently. Went to a 2.5in spring courtesy of UPR custom spring perches. This resulted in a couple things.
First the ability to corner balance the car without a true coil over.(awesome)
Second, about 1/4in drop in rear of car.(awesome...mostly)
The second change had an unexpected and unfortunate side effect. My axle brackets for my Steeda watts link were now acting like bump stops...not awesome.
My car is not slammed by any stretch of the imagination and raising the car back up is not something I want to do to accommodate the watts link.
Something to keep in mind when folks are shopping for a watts link. You may want to just go with the type that replaces the Diff cover if you have a pretty low car and don't want to change the ride height.

Good to know. Thanks for the update to your suspension. I have been following your car for a while in here. I wish BMR would get theirs done so I could buy that one. It's supposed to be the best between the Fays2, Whiteline, and Steeda units.

I went through the same thing with my Steeda watts link. I had to loosen the drivers side axle clamp and move it toward the center pumpkin around 1/2 inch or so, to clear the head of the bolt. Works perfect now

Removed Steeda Watts link unit and replaced with a cortex racing version that replaces diff. cover. Problem solved.
...anyone want to buy a used Steed Watts link set up?
