V6 rear lower control arms: how important?

I have a 2012 base V6 auto coupe with 2012 base GT take off suspension parts being installed as a low-buck upgrade. These parts are: F&R sway bars, shocks, struts/strut mounts and F&R springs. My rear lower control arms are the original V6 base arms. I’ll admit to not knowing the intended function(s) the LCA's serve in the rear suspension and their importance.

Should I be looking at upgrading the lower control arms?

BTW, This is my nearly stock daily driver/grocery getter which never sees a track.

I believe, the way it has been described, is the LCA's hold up the axle but they also allow the up and down movement of the axle and they translate acceleration to the ground. I will have a set of the FRPP "GT500" lca's available off my Boss soon if you were looking at purchasing them as an upgrade.

Thanks for the reply Brandon. I've read that rear LCA's are a popular upgrade and I'm just trying to learn why. Perhaps I'm missing the obvious?

Did you know that I'm a mustang noob.

I completely understand, there are probably several threads on this, and most people may find it silly to reply to thread after thread on the same subject. I however spend 9 hours a day in front of a computer so I try to stay busy on forums. I digress, I think most people do LCA's because they are a cheap increase in performance. I have read that the stock LCA's being stamped steel and having not the best bushing will deflect on corners which upsets the rear end. Also with the increase in strength of the LCA and bushing some people find that wheel hop is fixed.
