Sway bar adjustment

When adjusting the stiffness of the front bar can the suspension be loaded or do I need to put on stands? Other than the Endlinks do I need to loosen the bushing mount?
When adjusting the rear bar same question, suspension loaded or unloaded? Do I need to loosen anything else, i.e the top bushing mount to the frame and/or the bushing mount to the hanger/Endlinks?
I know for torqueing it should be loaded just not sure about the initial remove and adjust.

If you have urethane bushings and greased them it won't make any difference. The bars move in the bushings so you can tighten everything hanging free and it just rotates into position when you put the car on the ground. With rubber bushings it makes a slight difference just leave everything loose till you drop car then tighten.
