suspension changes for 2013 gt500

Hey I'm trying to decide what springs and sway bar combination to go with for my 13 shelby.

For springs I'm trying to decide between eibach pro (1 inch drop), steeda, and FRPP springs.

Has anyone had experience with these springs and if so how was the actual real world drop? Also did the car get more bumpy? Or did the ride get better? I've heard some say the ride gets better since the springs are progressive.

And for sway bars I'm trying to decide between the FR3, eibach, or steeda kits.

I am not sure though if the FR3 sway bars are an actual upgrade over a 13 with the SVTPP. I know the sway bars from the 2011 svtpp and 2013 are the same though.

Progressive springs are to be avoided. They ride a tiny bit better on smooth roads but as soon as the road gets rough or there are big dips they compress too easy and the shocks lock up. You're better off staying with a straight rate spring and a good shock that doesn't lock up on a bump.

First off, what are you trying to do with the car? Road race, drag race, just drive it?

Some setups are going to be faster on the track, but they're going to be a rougher, noiser ride on the road. Since you're concerned with ride quality, I'm guessing this is a car you're just driving for fun and want it to handle a little better and look better with a drop?

My car is a daily driver street car. It will see the track once maybe twice a year. I just want a bit better handling for more spirited driving purposes and yes I want the wheel gap gone a bit.

Changing the shocks are not an option. Sorry nothing better than the electronic bilsteins

So far everyone who has done steeda and FRPP and eibach have said the ride quality in the normal mode is mostly unchanged. FRPP says their spring increases ride stiffness by 15%. I doubt how noticeable that really is.

All seem to say on sport mode though its definitely rougher.
If I want a straight rate spring then I might as well stay stock. Nothing better than factory

I've had good experience with progressive springs, and I would not say that they ride bouncy over rough roads, although mine were sprung pretty stiff.

I don't think you can go wrong with any of those choices from a ride/handling perspective, the lowering is where you'll see the change. The Pro Kit will be about a 1" drop, the Steeda will be about 1.25" front/1.5" rear, and the FRPP is 1.25" front/rear.

Van just did the pro the drop was 1.1 inch rear and .75 inch front. I think this may be the way to go because it gives the least amount of drop. He says its about 5% stiffer on normal mode but super stiff on sport apparently. I am waiting to hear from his next seabring run.

Just keep in mind that the springs are going to settle, which means they're going to get a little lower after a couple thousand miles. So if you see a car with a brand new drop, I would add another 10-20% onto the drop to see what it will look like once the springs settle.

And it's spelled Sebring.

Didn't mean to add the A lol. I decided to go with FRPP. Ford racing says it makes the car 15% stiffer which is hardly noticeable. While the steeda have been tested with the 13 I rather go with Ford racing since I believe their testing more.

And eibachs were made for a 2010 and just happen to fit on the 13 but I rather go with something tested.

Check out our Sport springs for the GT500: http://www.steeda.com/store/steeda-s...lby-gt500.html

Let me know if I can help you with anything. I can recommend a suspension setup and setup a package deal for you if you'd like.
