Roush Rear Springs Installed

Thought I would post up a before and after of the install of the Roush rear lowering springs. I didn't want to lower the whole car, I just wanted to level it out by dropping the high rear end a bit. These springs leveled the car out very nicely and the ride quality didn't suffer at all.

The process was very easy and took less than 30 minutes start to finish, and although I am mechanically inclined, this was a first for me. Anyway, enjoy the pics.

Oh, yeah, in the after pic, the car is wearing a fresh coat of Klasse paint sealant.

Looks good. I tried that with my brembo car and back ended up lower than front so had to drop my front as well.

dmhines,

Your pics were my inspiration! I did this yesterday, and today measured the sills at the rear of the front wheels and front of the rear wheels and it is just a 1/4 inch higher in the rear, I hope the springs don't settle too much!

I saw this thread last Friday. You guys gave me the itch. Saturday I decided to run up to Summit racing and pick some of these springs up and do it myself. So glad I did it. I want to lower the car more, but for the time being it is very streetable and noticeably better stance. Thanks for the pics.

Looks good soslowgt. It sits nice. I wonder why when Dan put only the rears on his Brembo car the rear ended up too low?

What is your ride height front and rear measured from the center of the fender lip to the ground? Also, does anyone know the Roush rear spring rate?

It took you 30 minutes to install springs!? Am I missing something with solid rear axles? Is everything that much easier LOL!

If it only took you 30 minutes, then it must be ridiculously easy to install springs on the new coyote. Are there any good spring install how to article on the forum you guys can link me with?

Any updates on the Roush rear lowering springs? How are driving characteristics? Any issues with poor handing, especially at higher speeds? I do not want to lower the front but the rear does sit too high. A performance shop advised not to mix the stock front with upgraded rear springs.
